What Is Keratosis Pilaris?
Keratosis Pilaris is a common skin condition that causes patches of tiny bumps to appear on the skin. These bumps can appear either red or brown in colour and most commonly appear on the upper arms, thighs, cheeks, or buttocks.
What Causes It?
Keratosis Pilaris is caused by a build-up of keratin that plugs the hair follicles. Commonly known as chicken skin, this condition has a goosebump-like appearance and can often be accompanied by dry skin. There is no cure for this condition therefore requires treatment to minimise its appearance.
At Dr Skin Clinics, we offer a wide variety of treatments and advice to address your concerns and needs. With your tailored treatment plan designed by our qualified medical practitioners, rest assured that you are in great hands.
